Named after the late Charles Krauthammer—preeminent intellectual journalist and staunch defender of America, Israel, and the Jewish people—the 2024–2025 Krauthammer Fellowship seeks aspiring writers, journalists, scholars, and policy analysts interested in Jewish ideas, modern Israel, and American political and civic life. The program will run from September 2024-June 2025.

What is the Krauthammer Fellowship?
The Krauthammer Fellowship is a part-time program—designed for full-time young professionals and graduate students—aimed at advancing the careers of aspiring Jewish intellectuals. Fellows are expected to produce and publish a serious writing project, as well as attend educational programming. Krauthammer Fellows who successfully complete all program requirements will receive a stipend totaling $5,000, in two installments. How Does One Apply?
Interested candidates should register an account with SurveyMonkey Apply. Candidates should then return to this page to complete the application form, which includes uploading the documents listed below:
- A résumé.
- A detailed cover letter explaining your educational background, professional ambitions, and interest in the Fellowship.
- A non-fiction writing sample of up to 2,500 words, reflecting your style and skill in developing an argument or story. Samples can include short academic papers, essays, op-eds, or pieces of original reporting.
Candidates will also be asked to submit one to three essay ideas they would like to develop during the Krauthammer Fellowship. Each essay idea should be explained in approximately three to five lines. These will be collected as part of the application form and will not require a separate upload.
